Muscle vs. Strength

Size: many reps (12), muscle cross section

Strength: few reps (2-5), heavy (85% of one rep max), long breaks (3
min), many sets(5) to build nerve endings / motor units.

Recruit and fatigue all motor units, so they will grow.  More motor
units -> more metabolic cost -> more fat burn[2].
