Concurrency, state machines and protocol-oriented programming

Reading up a bit on the GA144.  The interesting observation is that
the ability to put multiple threads on multiple machines can simplify
software.

Putting this back to a single processor design, what you loose is
speed, but the principle is the same.  To minimize the speed lost,
make context switches simpler or even deterministic.

This idea has been coming back a over and over again.  How to make it
work for Staapl?  How to make it work for ARM as well?
