Sound impedance

If I get this right: speakers are cone shaped.  

At the narrow end, velocity is high but pressure is low.  At the wide
end it's reversed.  Widening enables the same amount of mass to move
with less velocity.  WRONG!

According to [1] it's just the other way around!

I think it's time for me to pick up Feynman's lectures again..
