cross-compiling erlang

Since there is no working armhf multiarch package, it might be best to
cross-compile it manually. Also a good opportunity to look at the
source.

http://erlang.org/documentation/doc-6.0/doc/installation_guide/INSTALL-CROSS.html

export OTP_TOP=`pwd`
./otp_build autoconf # from git
./configure --enable-bootstrap-only && make # builds bootstrap system
./configure --host=arm-linux-gnueabihf --build=x86_64-linux-gnu && make # cross-compile

maybe this isn't the way to go... this really needs to be linked
against the correct libs. let's just unpack the armhf dev package, or
copy the libs from xm/pi - or just use nfs : filesystems are there
anyways and hosts will likely be up.

more trouble..

looks like this might have just been some unstable code. after
cleaning up exo deps to only have jiffy, it worked with:

rm `find -name '*.o'` `find -name '*.so'`
make CC=arm-linux-gnueabihf-gcc CXX=arm-linux-gnueabihf-g++
